So I think I am stupid. No, I am pretty sure of it. Thanks to my parent's financing and the wonders of the FedEx Gods, I received a new power cord for my laptop. (The old one kind of blew up. Scratch that, it actually blew up. Lisa found this most disconcerting: "They just shouldn't DO that!") You would think all would be well in Jeremy's computer land, yes?
No.
I thought I knew how to set up my router that was working perfectly a week ago. I thought I was reasonably capable in terms of diagnosing various networking and routing problems. I thought I had any confidence in terms of computers what so ever.
I was wrong.
So, woe is me. I am not even on my own computer, I am at Lisa's parents house. (Not specifically because of computer problems, but because Lisa's sister has a choir concert, and rather than forget about the STUPID router and enjoy a day away from Greeley, I chose to dwell on my short comings ALL THE LIVE LONG DAY.)
But, the small glimmer of hope that is keeping me even a little sane is the newest addition to my Star Wars collectible Collection. Wicket, the Ewok as a Burger King Kid's Meal Toy. I have found at that there are thirty one (!) different Star Wars Toys at Burger King, so if my Internet continues to hate me I figure I can pass my time begging for money and traveling to BK's all over the state completing my collection. But for now, Wicket is good enough. Hopefully this plucky little friend to the Republic will be a good luck charm and rescue me from the doldrums of my self induced computer related hell.
If not, at least I can tuck him in my shirt pocket and sing the Ewok Celebration song from Return of the Jedi all day.
Whatever works.
