A Sancho's Island Guide to Surviving Loneliness

Its a fact, I have been known to randomly disappear from the Internet with narrow a post to satisfy my public. I'm sorry, but these things happen. Today I thought I would provide you with links to a few other website that I read daily and that will be able to hold you over if I vanish.

  • Penny Arcade - Web comics are what makes the world go round. Penny Arcade is a comic strip published Monday, Wednesday and Friday that is aimed at the gamer audience. Accompanying the strip, are news posts which are just as much a reason to visit the site as the comic is.
  • Dooce.com - Now this is something everybody can enjoy. Dooce is a wonderful website written by a woman living in Utah. Her main claim to fame is that she was "dooced" (fired from her job for blogging), but her website is more than that. In her own words, "I talk a lot about poop, boobs, my dog, and my daughter." Its hard not to enjoy her posts, even Lisa reads Dooce.
  • Gorillamask.net - At the other end of the scale is Gorilla Mask. This site is aimed at the college boy demographic, but actually features good writing and actual humor. The Mask also posts daily web finds to all sorts of random, strange, bizarre Internet stuff. I am a member of their forums as well. Good times for all...
  • The Moxie Blog- The most specific site here, the Moxie blog chronicles the planning, process, and (eventual) opening of an independent movie theatre in Missouri. It's interesting and funny and much more than a boring business log. Currently, they are auctioning off the naming rights to their concession stand for some extra funds.
So there you have it, more than enough sites to keep you busy when I up and leave. Don't say I've never done anything for you...

Who Knows How Long I'll Stay Around,
Sancho

EDIT: I just find it humorous that the Blogger spell check
a) doesn't have "blog", "blogging", or "blogger" in the dictionary, and
b) suggested I replace the unknown word, "boobs" with "boobies"...
