Taking One For the Team

The following post is rated R. Parental Discretion Advised:

So I have a friend (and yes, this really is a separate person, not the old I-am-going-to-talk-about-myself-but-really-say-its-just-a-"friend" bit) who ruptured a disc in her lower back. She might even need surgery. This friend, who is a co worker of mine, is a cute little thing, healthy and fit, even spry, who you would not think would have lower back problems. Oddly enough, however, she plays rugby and is apparently pretty good at it. So I asked my friend, "did you hurt your back playing rugby?" She said that was not how she hurt her back. So I said, "well, how then, did you hurt your back?"

Well... and this is why this post is rated R... it turns out my friend, beside being a sales woman of intimate apparel, and a rugby player, is also very protective of her bold new hair style. So protective in fact,t that recently while sharing a...private rendevous with her man, she declined to share this moment in the customary under-the-covers location for fear it might mess up her hair. Her solution was to take the "lazy" out of la-z-boy, and get the blood pumping in a recliner. Sadly, this too threatened to mash her "do", so she was forced to prop herself up with an elbow and as the result of an extended period of...gyrations, wrenched her back.

As a result of this tremulous whoopee session, she is benched for the season and is facing surgery. Now, she is not a hundred percent sure that her lounge chair copulation is the only factor in her injury, but it certainly aggravated it.

So ladies, next time you shell out a hundred bucks or more for a hair cut, you need to make sure you are willing to do whatever it takes to preserve that precious style... WHATEVER it takes.

Unnamed co-worker, I salute you!

This is why I keep my hair short,
Sancho
